How OPTICOM CNC 2D/3D System Work?

The OPTICOM CNC 2D/3D System works by combining high-resolution optical imaging with computer-controlled CNC stages to automatically measure parts in two or three dimensions. The part is placed on the precision stage, and the CNC system moves it along X, Y, and Z axes according to programmed measurement routines. A camera or optical sensor, often with telecentric lenses and specialized lighting, captures detailed images of the part. The system’s software then analyzes these images to calculate 2D dimensions (length, width, angles) and 3D features (height, depth, volume, contours) with high accuracy and repeatability. This automation allows fast, consistent, and precise measurement of complex or high-volume components with minimal operator intervention.
