How Surfcom NEX 040/030 Work?
The SURFCOM NEX 040/030 works by using a precision stylus or probe to measure surface roughness, contour, and form features of a part. The diamond-tipped stylus moves across the surface, detecting microscopic peaks, valleys, and geometric deviations. Its magnetic linear drive ensures smooth, vibration-free motion for accurate measurements. Optional CNC automation allows fully automated positioning and multi-point measurement. The system’s software analyzes the stylus or sensor signals to calculate roughness parameters, contour profiles, and form deviations, displaying results on a user-friendly interface for inspection, quality control, and reporting.
