The Niton XL3t GOLDD+ Handheld XRF Analyzer works by directing X-rays onto a material’s surface, causing the atoms in the sample to emit secondary (fluorescent) X-rays. Its GOLDD™ detector measures the energy and intensity of these fluorescent X-rays to determine the elemental composition of the material accurately and almost instantly.
